Welcome to Cowley Community Closet, our sustainable, anti-capitalist, queer-run swap shop!

We started CCC with nothing but a passion for second-hand fashion, and our mission to build a community-centred space has quickly grown. Our community closet events provide space for people of all genders and sizes to connect and swap the beautiful clothes that are already on the planet. 

It's important to us that our events and swaps always stay free; and we sell stickers, upcycled merch, and run a patreon to help keep us going.​

Our focus is community care and fostering a more connected and sustainable lifestyle, not just through conscious consumerism at our swaps, but also in our other community initiatives. We work with amazing volunteers to offer free self-defence classes in Cowley and Cardiff which are available to anyone who identifies as at-risk. Our community corkboard hosts links to fundraisers, indie business ads, gig posters – whatever our community are up to, we want it on the corkboard!

In 2024 Cowley Community Closet became a registered Community Interest Company. We have lots of big plans for the future and can’t wait for our community to grow even more.
